Over the past year or two, I have gone on long winded monologues to answer questions of my thesis, covering the concept of an animated multiverse.
This is one of those monologues, directed at an anonymous colleague.

Questions

Whinot:
Im just letting my mind race with theoretical cartoon questions i need to answer while lying in bed.

Colleague:
Ahh relatable.

Whinot:
Is plot a field like gravity? In the Phineas and Ferb universe, why is there a temporal significance to 1 specific day where very important characters all meet for the first time individually? Can you measure plot armor? What significance does Kennys death hold. How can time move forward but all inhabitants within remain still?

Colleague:
Oh boy.

Whinot:
Whats the danger reading on the stability of crossovers. Is there a reason universes become intertwined? How do you group individual universes that all branch from one another? What makes Flapjacks universe so powerful in context. When are you gonna face the world shattering horrors of the OK KO mega crossover event?

Colleague:
Toonish, buddy, calm down.

Whinot:
Universal death and the concept of cancelation on a cosmic scale. Can you fully define a broken character scenario? How do you measure it? Is it time to start writing Toonish101? Are Catalysts a fully sentient species? Can the multiverse ever truly be destroyed if Questions as a concept cant die?

Colleague:
Toonish. Calm. Down.

Whinot:
All deeply fascinating questions, many of which are far more fit for a person with a much broader understanding of legitimate science, not just a college student who knows scifi tropes and enough episodes of House to diagnose simple issues. And all questions Ive yet to find exact answers for.
What does 1+1=ED mean?! Do the characters of TAWOG have an instinctive need to not be boring, subconsciously knowing their sentient universe WILL write them out of existence and abandon them in the Dictionary? Do the goldfish crackers HAVE lore? Are animated commercials anything at all? Why do almost no shows have shows within those shows that are animated? Why are almost all of them live action animation in the context of their animated world thus making them live action?

Colleague:
… What?

Whinot:
All of it, I Need to eventually have answers for.
What about Mort, multiversal God of death and diminishment within the ever lapsing multiverse housed within the grander Dreamworks universe? What the absolute hell do I do with this immortal mouse lemur??

Colleague:
Lol

Whinot:
The beauty of it is, ill never live long enough to have all the answers. Maybe when I’m gone, if i’ve been lucky enough to publish my findings, someone else will take on the task of continuing my research…
Did I tell you I’m making a dating sim?
