DonKaritol
DonKaritol is a fictional drug created by a fictional medical corporation by the name of Curall.LLC. It signifies an important moment in the history of Whinot Productions, as one of the very first real life props for a live action video series.
Early History
‘The Curall Files’ is a disorganized video series on the Whinot Productions YouTube channel, following the style of the Found Footage genre. The series was adapted from an earlier concept near the beginning of Whinot Productions, that being ‘Wacky Wilton‘.
Wacky Wilton was the story of a TV infomercial personality who went by the titular stage name. It would follow the story of a man in decline as his world and carreer collapsed around him. In desperation, he would begin to review more dangerous products, including those of a mysterious medical corporation by the name of ‘CureAll Products’. Within these videos would be secrets and hints to the story happening behind the scenes, as Eddie Wilton spiraled into insanity and became a horrific shell of his formal self.
Unfortunately due to scheduling conflicts and budget restrictions, Wacky Wilton never saw production beyond its proof of concept work, ‘An Honest Apple Commercial‘
Upon Whinot Productions creation of various short films in the style of psychological horror in 2024, Adam Ashlock was determined to fuse them into a brand new series, loosely based on the original concept of Wacky Wilton.
Story & Significance
DONKARITOL as a product holds a great deal of importance within the Curall Files storyline. Created by “Dr. James Cura”, DONKARITOL was designed to be a thought suppressant, in defiance of an earlier product he had attempted to profit off of, ‘The Curall CogniCore’.
“James“ had the first model implanted into his dorsolateral prefrontal cortex. It was only later that he realized his mistake and began to hear the voice of his A.I implant attempting to take control of his mind. After weeks of struggle, an idea found its way into his mind for a new drug that would attack sections of the brain and weaken the Curall CogniCore’s hold on the mind. This was the first concept of DONKARITOL.
Upon its creation, “James“ began downing the substance any chance he got, dependent on it to survive the madness that was overtaking him. Sadly, he would realize far too late that the effects of the drug were not what he had planned for. He had been following the instructions of the Curall CogniCore, assuming they were his own thoughts. In another effort to retake control and dampen the pain, began abusing another product that was still in testing, known as Daydreem. It is one of the only products to have survived the unreleased ‘Wacky Wilton‘ scripts.
Unfortunately, ‘James’ thoughts were now drowned out by laughter and the screaming thoughts of depression, Anxiety, Paranoia and fear. And during the filming of the official DONKARITOL commercial, ‘James Cura’ succumbed to the madness and in a last stitch effort to save his brain, abandoned the company and isolated himself during his final month of life.
