A brief ode to the works of Dr. Theodore Seuss Geisel.
Please enjoyA Seussian Rhyme
If there’s one thing I love,
and I love it a lot,
It’s Poetry, Rhyming,
With all that I’ve got.
I grew up with Seussian readings galore,
Had books upon books scattered out, cross the floor
There was no call to want, for there’d always be more,
As a child, those books, I would read till I’d snore.
There’s no greater gift, than a well nurtured mind
And the good Dr Seuss made them one of a kind
They were beautiful, magical, whimsical too,
With a Seussian mind, oh the things you could do.
Be complexional writings on the nature of greed,
Or dreams of making it big with a thneed,
You could pick at the minds of the deepest of thinkers,
And still use fun words like Zimzomner and Zinklers
No, it matters not what you could write in this way,
Be it wisdom or words that are merely for play,
The simple old truth of a Seussian style,
Is all who may read, may do so with a smile.
